My name is Christi O’Toole and I am a dedicated professional with over 24 years of experience providing speech therapy. I am a certified Speech-Language Pathologist holding my National Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech Language Hearing Association, ASHA, and my Oregon Board Licensure through the Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology & Audiology. I earned both my Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders & Sciences and Master of Arts in Communication Disorders & Sciences from the University of Oregon Department of Education.

Since earning my degree in 2002, my clinical experience includes home based therapy, Teletherapy via Telehealth during the Covid-19 pandemic, working in K12 schools serving kindergarten to 12th grade, educational service districts providing early intervention services to children ages 3-5 years, and in private practice clinic settings.

I have over 24 years of experience working with diverse populations managing the impact of disabilities and communication disorders, including the following: Articulation and Phonological Disorders, Receptive/Expressive Language Disorders, Stuttering/Fluency, Voice Disorders, Traumatic Brain Injury, TBI, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, and Autism Spectrum Disorders, ASD.

I began my career working in early intervention with the Willamette ESD in Salem, OR. At the WESD I evaluated and provided communication services to 3-5 year olds on an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). I worked in specialized preschools, led the Speech and Language Preschool, and provided 1:1 speech services In Salem, Stayton, Sublimity, Jefferson, and Aumsville.

After leaving the WESD I moved to Salem Keizer Public Schools where I currently work full time serving elementary students. I have been with the Salem Keizer School District for 19 years where I have worked with many amazing families where I evaluate and provide direct, related, and consultation services to students identified as needing Communication Services on an Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

In my downtime I enjoy spending time with my 3 daughters and 2 grandchildren. I enjoy paddle boarding, kayaking, yoga, outdoor walks, reading, watching documentaries, camping, Disneyland, country music, and attending country music concerts.
